The door stop must be positioned correctly; if it is mounted too close to the hinge the door will tend to pivot round it and the leverage may be sufficient to damage hinge fixing.
Floor door stops are simply fixed to the floor surface in the appropriate position. We are able to supply thick base door stops for fixing through carpeted surfaces, shielded designs as well as simple rubber stops.
Wall door stops, which allow easy cleaning of the floor, are usually fitted to skirting boards but ideally should be fitted at mid door height to avoid the door twisting as it strikes. These are often used for doors folding 180 degrees back against the wall.
Buffered coat hooks are often used in wc cubicles.
Door holders are used to hold doors in an open position. They may be operated with either hand or foot and provide a more secure hold than built-in stand-opens on closing devices.
